Experience whitewater rafting and kayaking with an America Outdoors outfitter on the Tieton River...summer's last run!
Tieton River draws serious whitewater rafters to its Class III+ rapids. A roaring 20-mile ride brings rafters downriver from the Rimrock Dam to the confluence of the Naches River.
The two forks of this river begin high in the mountains and join before Rimrock Dam. In September, when they open it up and let the Tieton do what it wants, the waters roll alongside the byway with a playful, raging intent to meet up with the Naches and the Yakima Rivers and eventually the Great Columbia. During the second week in September, whitewater kayakers and rafting parties enjoy white-knuckled laughter in Class III waters.
