Whitewater rafting and kayaking are available through an America Outdoors outfitter on the Methow River.
The Methow is a long river which drains the northern portion of the eastern slope of the Cascades. Headwaters are in a narrowly incised valley on mostly unroaded national forest land, while most of the valley is privately owned agricultural land. The pastoral valley, combined with the nearby backdrop of Cascade peaks, makes the river visually appealing. Scenery form the river itself is relatively natural because of streamside vegetation and cliffs. This river also supports a wide variety of recreational activity, including challenging whitewater rafting and wonderful fishing and hunting. Animals are abundant in this area, including the bald eagle.
