UPPER SECTION
The Big Pigeon River boasts twelve class III and three class IV whitewater thrilling rapids! Accompanied by an America Outdoors' river guides, you'll literally rock and roll down five miles of lively whitewater, rafting through class III & IV rapids such as "Too Late, Vegamatic, Razor Blade, After Shave, and Lost Guide."
Just as sweeping and heart stopping as the rapids themselves is the extraordinary scenery surrounding the Big Pigeon River. Skirted by the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and the Pisgah National Forest, the Big Pigeon has carved its rocky riverbed through some of the most dramatic country in East Tennessee.

LOWER SECTION
Looking for a way to really relax and enjoy natures beauty? Check out the Lower Section of the Big Pigeon River! Very casual and laid back, the lower section of the Big Pigeon river has Class I and II rapids and one Class lll at the end of the trip. For a couple of hours you'll gaze at the beautiful Smoky Mountain surroundings as you casually float this section of the Big Pigeon River.
