Hot springs, lush alpine forests, steep canyon walls and raging whitewater rapids are what you can expect on a trip down the Piedra River! Located in southwestern Colorado, the Piedra River is one of the best rivers in the state for whitewater sports. There are two main sections to the river, the upper and the lower. The upper section provides Class II (Easy) to Class IV (Difficult) rapids, while the lower section is packed with Class III (Medium) to Class IV+ (Difficult) rapids.
