America Outdoors outfitters provide whitewater rafting and whitewater kayaking in Glenwood Canyon on the Colorado River.
The Colorado River, sixth largest of all 135 U.S. rivers, travels through 7 states for over 1400 miles with Colorado snowfalls feeding over 75% of this river’s flows. The headwaters of the Colorado River lie deep within the heart of Rocky Mountain National Park near Longs Peak and Estes Park, Colorado and get off to a rollicking start in Gore Canyon, one of the last sections to be run with Rob Wise’s first raft descent in 1977.
A popular section of the river is Glenwood Canyon. Rapids with names like Tombstone and Upper Superstition keep your pulse elevated and get you in the mood to relax after takeout in the world famous hot springs pools of Glenwood Springs or with a trip to a vapor cave or a gondola cave ride. This is a wonderful trip for families.
