America Outdoors outfitters provide whitewater rafting, kayaking, fishing, family trips, tours and treks, mountain biking, educational programs and other activities on the Animas River in southwestern Colorado.
Running through San Juan National Forest and the Rocky Mountains, the Animas River is known for some of its awesome rapids. Not only is the ride exhilarating, but the views are amazing! This river consists of two sections for your rafting enjoyment: the upper and the lower. The upper section of the river is definitely more challenging, as Class IV+ (Difficult) to Class V (Expert) rapids are present on this 25 mile run. If you prefer a calmer river trip, the lower section provides 11 miles of rapids ranging from Class I (Calm) to II (Easy).
